What's On The WELLOFLIFE Plate In April?

Hello and Greetings In The Only Name Worthy To Be Praised...
Yes That's JESUS!!!

How are you all doing?  It's been a while what have you been up too?  Asa ka na?  (Where are you now?)

The Smith's are right here in the center of God's will for our lives at this time and this moment.  We're still in the Philippines and so happy to be alive and glowing for Christ our Savior.  Do you have the fire of God in your bones this very moment?  If not email us back and we will share some of our joy and fire with you.

We just finished a meeting with the young people from our church and they are all ready for this months busy schedule.  I had them officially registered as volunteer members of WELLOFLIFE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INC. this afternoon, and we worked on making our ID cards for the ministry and the young people worked so hard on cleaning the places they will sleep next week here.  I designed our logo for our ministry and have an American missionary friend designing us a website for free right now praise God!
I challenged the young people to pool all their resources together for our upcoming activities this month so we can see the LORD's hand provide for our needs.  I didn't want to make a set fee for our camp, outreach and Children's CHE Club as most are from poor families and cannot afford a set registration fee.  So I challenged them to give whatever they have like food and money for their transportation.  This is a real step in faith because we need more than $300 by this coming Monday and have 0 so far.  If God puts it upon your heart to give towards making these activities possible we and the people we're about to minister to will be very blessed!

Next week:
April 13-15 we will have our Children's CHE Training Camp at our residence.  This will be for 3 full days and the 20+ volunteers will stay at our place.  This is the second camp here for them we're all excited as the first on was last year.  We will train them in the importance of Child Evangelism and why children make good community health educators and the spiritual topic we will share the following days.  The focus is on planning and preparing for the 5 day program we will be having in the community.

April 16-17 Campogon Outreach we will be going to the mountain for 2 days to follow up a community I visited in January, they are patiently waiting for me to return and teach them more organic agriculture skills.  The youth will teach preventative health and spiritual topics they learn in the camp.  It's a 3 hour walk up hill in the mountain to reach our destination!  Please pray for us as it's not always safe in the mountains as some rebel groups tend to lurk in the mountains, but we have no fear of man only God and He will cover us by His Holy Angels!

April 20-24 Children's CHE Club is the event we are diligently preparing for.  We have invited over 300 children from the local public elementary school and have received 142 consent forms back from the students and 10 are being sent from another NGO here. We invited all the grade 1-5 students.  The theme is "Clean Me, Clean Community" and the topic to be covered over the 5 days are Hygiene, Nutrition, Good Manners, Basic First Aid and Prevention, the spiritual topics are

God Creates With Words, The Birth of Jesus, John The Baptist and Repentance, Evangelism, Talking to God and Making a PACT with God.  We have solicited help locally to provide the snacks for this activities and pray others will give so this will have a lasting impact on these children and draw them closer to God especially as these are unchurched children!

April 27-28 Workshop on Child and Adult Literacy as Evangelism I have a speaker coming from the top Linguistics University in the Philippines to teach us how to teach others to read and write.  A dear missionary friend from the US named Bob Malloy has given us this opportunity and we know it will be used to Glorify our Master Jesus.  Thanks Bob you remain here with us from this ministry and we hope you are well and blessed in the US we hope to see you soon brother!

So please pray for God's provision for these very important events quickly approaching.  This months has been hard for us as Lydia needed glasses, and we have to pay our bookkeeper $80 tomorrow for processing our Mayor's permit and receipts which we now have Praise God!  It's also tax time due April 15th so we have to pay another unexpected fee.  We had to cancel work for our staff this week, and I don't know how we'll be able to pay the rest of the months expenses...only God knows.  We trust He will provide as He never has failed us yet!

Highlights from last month with the Gideons International Ministry...

We were able to give out 280 little New Testament Bibles to elementary school students in my community and 50 to teachers and for the library.  It's so sweet when we share to them and they receive Jesus in their heart please pray they will honor the commitment they made to Christ and live for Him all the days of their lives!

Our farmers training every Friday has been going well we have started preparing our small demo plot, we will resume in May.

Lydia and Josiah are well, Josiah is climbing on things now which makes me very nervous, I shaved his hair this month too hehe...please include him in your prayers for safety.  Thank you.  I've been having a cold which is not making any sense to me as it's summer here now.

We love you all very much!  Thank you so much for all your love, support and prayers that fuel this fire we have here for sharing the Gospel as we are all commanded in to do by the WORD of GOD!

Have an encounter with the LORD of lords this month.

Love,

Jeffrey, Lydia & Josiah Smith
