For Broken Hearts

God offers the first and the most important remedy for you to find healing through His son Jesus Christ. The healing found through Jesus mends your relationship with God and brings wholeness to your spirit, this process is often referred to as "Salvation". Once that relationship is mended you will find that God brings healing to the other areas of your life, emotional, physical and relational.

Salvation

Sin is the cause of almost every problem you will ever face in life. But there is a way to have victory over sin: even though we offend and abuse God by our thoughts and actions He offers us forgiveness in Jesus Christ. To experience this, you must be born again. It is God's greatest desire for you. Even if you think you have all your immediate problems solved, what good will it do in the long run, if you lose your own soul?

The Bible teaches that salvation, which consists of being born again and having your sins forgiven, is necessary in order to:

  1. See the Kingdom of God (John 3:3).

  2. Receive eternal life and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

  3. Become a child of God and joint heir with Christ.

You can receive salvation freely by telling God that you have put your faith in the fact that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ did happen and that you believe it is the only form of payment God accepts for the forgiveness of your sins. This salvation also includes turning (repenting) from sin and a self-centered life and giving the direction of your life completely over to Jesus (Lordship of Christ). Salvation is given only by God's grace: He elects, predestines, calls, justifies, and sanctifies every true believer (Romans 8:29,30; Ephesians 2:8,9).

What Scripture Tells Us

“Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

“For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

If you have not yet trusted Christ as Lord and Saviour, that is your foremost need. Salvation is not earned; it is by grace (unmerited favour) through faith (Ephesians 2:8,9).

Just call on Jesus, confess your sins, and receive Him as your Saviour and Lord. He knows your heart and will answer your prayer.

If you wish, you can pray in this manner:

“Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open my life and receive you now as my Saviour and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen.”

Praise God! Welcome to His family! Believe that God has heard your prayer and in His faithfulness has saved you. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
